Alexis England is a painter based in upstate New York. Her lyrical abstractions inspired primarily by the natural world have an almost cyanotype quality. By using a minimal palette, typically only white on dense backgrounds, the focus is placed on negative and positive space, minutiae, texture and the myriad complexities found in gesture and line.
